Swallow started her career in Broadway theater, which she acted in a variety of productions including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, as well as the world premiere of off-Broadway shows Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure. The film debut of Swallow was 2008, with the war film The Lucky Ones. The show is currently being developed based on the characters. Nice Fish was premiered at the Guthrie Theater in 2013. The show was developed together with Mark Rylance. [1][2] In 2016 she was a cast member in the Center Theatre Group's production of Ayad Akhtar's The Disgraced. Swallow was the first actress to play a TV role on Guiding Light. She has since appeared in Southland and Ringer. She was a star in The Mentalist, playing FBI agent Kim Fischer. In the year 2015, she was the role of Amara in Supernatural's 11th season in the role of "the Darkness". Beginning in 2019, she took on the role as the Armorer in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian as the leader of the Mandalorians who are traditionalists. As of the show, she's not been able to reveal her identity because the people who wear traditional attire will never wear their helmets. The season 3 plot focuses more on Mandalorian her character, she appears increasingly.
