Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Inspired by her observation of shadows reflected on the ground, the artist spent many months experimenting with a method to convey objects in two dimensions onto canvas. In this way, the object is turned into an image. This happens especially with living objects as well as those that are likely to perish like fruit or humans. The ephemeral nature of her art style is apparent and what survives of Alexa Meade's work is the photographs. As the photographic and painting techniques are synchronized so tightly and result in the trompe-l'oeil effect that creates it appears as if three dimensions can only be seen at specific locations, like the region around the eyes and the hair. Meade often incorporates her painted figures within the three-dimensional space surrounding the figures. They interact within the world she has created for herself. In this way, she blurs the lines between photography, painting performance and installation.
